Cue the mockery.
25. How I Spent My Summer Vacation - The Ataris (63) Welcome Back
The Ataris would probably qualify as my favorite band, I've been listening to them since 2000. Even though they only have two songs in the top 25, they have 20 songs in the top 100. It a great song because it starts off and you think it's about just going with the flow and loving life, but then it turns into a vengeful song about girls. Right in emo Nick's wheelhouse.
One Line That Instantly Made Me A Fan Of The Song: I'm still waiting for the world to come crashing down again. I'm still waiting for some one, to call me up and tell me your dead.
24. Light Up The Sky - Yellowcard (64) NEW
Yellowcard seems to fall into the Good Charlotte category of punk rock. Bands that try so hard to be mainstream, most punk rock enthusiasts can't stand them. Regardless, it is hard to deny that both band has some legitimately good songs (Ostrowe will disagree). This is one of those songs for Yellowcard. A very high energy song which gets me pumped up when I hear it.
OLTIMMAFOTS: Let me light up the sky, light it up for you. Let me tell you why, I would die for you
23. Right Now - SR 71 (64) NEW
This infectiously catchy song was one of the first songs I ever downloaded from Napster. It also exists on my first ever mix CD of pirated music. Back then, Mar and myself would come up with odd random names for our mixes. This one was "Rabid Panda."
OLTIMMAFOTS: She taught me how to trust, and to believe in us, then she taught me how to cuss, that bitch, it's over
22. If All Else Fails - Matchbook Romance (52) Previously #14
And dropping like a rock this song is. Well, if all else fails, it can fall back on it's previous job. Blacksmith
OLTIMMAFOTS: If all else fails, you can look up at the sky because it's the same one that shines above you and I. And if all else fails you can close your eyes and I'll be right besides you
21. Fast Times at Dropout High - The Ataris (64) NEW
New power rankings, new Ataris song makes the list. Sensing a trend. Great song all around, but what puts it over the edge is the Ben Affleck spoken word at the end. Yes, I realize how retarded that sounds.
Affleck: Everyday I pick you up. We go out, have a few drinks, a few laughs, and it's great, but ya wanna know what the best part of my day is? It's the 10 seconds from when I pull up to the curb and I get to your door, and I'm hoping you won't be there. No good-bye, no see-ya-later, no nothing. Just picked up and left. I don't know much, but I know that.
20. Giving Up On Love - The Ataris (64) Previously #22
OLTIMMAFOTS: You fall in love, then break your heart, then fall in love again, it's never ending
19. Overrated - Jak Paris (53) Previously #13
Perhaps Jak Paris was overrated himself since he too is plunging the power rankings. He is the Washington Redskins of iTunes
OLTIMMAFOTS: Used to be so hesitant, now I am the president of the geek squad that kicked you ass to the curb
18. Jamie All Over - Mayday Parade (66) NEW
Like last time. All I will say is that Mayday Parade is awesome. No one knows who they are and I kinda want to keep it that way.
OLTIMMAFOTS: Please don't tell me that I'm dreaming, when all I ever wanted was to dream another sunrise with you
17. Miserable at Best - Mayday Parade (66) NEW
Listened to this song a lot while feeling sorry for myself...
/glossing over
//nothing to see here
16. When I'm With You - Faber Drive (66) Previously #17
OLTIMMAFOTS: When I'm with you, I'll make every second count, 'cause I miss you, whenever you're not around
15. Makedamnsure - Taking Back Sunday (67) Previously #20
OLTIMMAFOTS: You are everything I want, because you are everything I'm not
14. I Can Wait Forever - Simple Plan (67) Previously #10
OLTIMMAFOTS: When you call my heart stops beating, when your gone it won't stop bleeding.
13. I Won't Spend Another Night Alone - The Ataris (67) Previously #21
The polar opposite of the previous Ataris song. That is what's great about emo bands. They are bi-polar and have a song to fit all your moods.
OLTIMMAFOTS: The things you make me wanna do. I'd rob a quik-e-mart for you. I'd go to the pound and let all the cats go free. Just as long as you'd be with me.
12. Love You 'Til the End - The Pogues (70) Previously #23
OLTIMMAFOTS:Ijustwanttobetherewhenthemorninglightexplodes,onyour

11. Boston - Augustana (70) Previously #11
OLTIMMAFOTS: I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset
10. Jasey Rae - All Time Low (70) Previously #6
You know. Until right now I thought this song was called Jersey Rae. I was getting ready to make a Springsteen joke. G-D it.
OLTIMMAFOTS: I've never told a lie, and that makes me a liar, I've never made a bet, but we gamble with desire, I've never lit a match, with intent to start a fire, but recently the flames, are getting out of control.
9. The Last Song I Will Ever Write About A Girl - The Ataris (71) Previously #7
OLTIMMAFOTS: Why don't I ever seem to learn, that love is all wrong and girls are fucking evil
8. All The Same - Sick Puppies (72) Previously #9
OLTIMMAFOTS: I don't mind, I don't care, as long as you're here
7. And My Name is Dignan, So What - Day at the Fair (72) Previously #5
OLTIMMAFOTS: They'll wonder how good it can get... Much better than this.
I hear from your friends you're still alive, I guess I wasted those wishes on nothing
6. Iris - Goo Goo Dolls (56) Previously #8
OLTIMMAFOTS: You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
5. Fever Dream - Tyler Bates (73) Previously #3
A pure instrumental song from the movie the 300. Will get you adequately pumped up and plus, everyone needs a song on their iPod that will make you want to kill a butt load of Persians.
OLTIMMAFOTS: N/A
4. Jersey - Mayday Parade (74) Previously #15
[Springsteen Voice] This is a song called Jersey, and it's about Jersey, and it made the biggest jump of the blog post, because it is about Jersey. As you can tell this is the Boss' favorite song on my list
OLTIMMAFOTS: I'll be fine I swear, I'm just gone beyond repair
3. Bittersweet - Radio Racer (79) Previously #2
OLTIMMAFOTS: You cut me off but you've got nothing to show for I took the fall but it wasn't enough
2. Far Away - Nickelback (92) Previously #1
From most popular to seven plays in seven months. Doesn't take Rocket science to figure out why. The 2007-08 Patriots you could call it perhaps?
1. Last Train Home - Ryan Star (61) NEW
A NEW number one song. Yes, it is from PS I Love You. But it is a good song. A great song really and I am not ashamed to have it as number one.
OLTIMMAFOTS: We were only kids, we ran like water, your father said "stay away from my daughter"
Songs to look out for:
Broken - Given (51)
The first music video of a Broken song speaks for itself. It is a great song even though Joyce is getting sick of our obsession.
OLTIMMAFOTS: If I made you smile, would you feel free. If I helped you cry, would you be happy
Find Your Fire - Given (11)
The second single off of Given's first album is just as catchy. A rising star indeed
OLTIMMAFOTS: Find your fire. Maybe we can burn together
